Born out of an internal hackathon, I led our strategy to build a color wheel for new designers. For a company like Figma, there is a massive brand need to be more authoritative for color so that newer designers can get onboarded effectively.

With the color wheel, designers can use the color wheel to build a palette, and get embedded directly into the editor with their custom selections. This was the first time that we bridged the marketing site and editor, and we successfully launched this project under very constrained resources. Offshoots of this initial project are now a core part of Figma's marketing strategy going forward.
